The purpose of this study is to understand thinking difficulties in those who are seeking support for alcohol or substance use concerns and those with no history of problematic use. This study involves an interview, computer tasks, a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, and a blood draw. We hope that by collecting this information over time, we can better understand how alcohol and substance use is linked to thinking difficulties for some people so we can improve treatments and outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Range: 18-60 years old
- No history of problematic alcohol or substance use
- No history of psychosis or bipolar difficulties
- No current mood difficulties
- No previous injuries involving metallic objects, metallic objects that can't be removed, surgical procedures within the past 2 months, or claustrophobia
