This study explores how people who have recovered to a healthy weight after anorexia nervosa process images of bodies. Research suggests that even after weight restoration, individuals with a history of anorexia nervosa may continue to experience differences in how body-related information is perceived and interpreted, which could be linked to underlying cognitive and neural processing patterns.
This study involves:
- Diagnostic evaluation
- 2 in-person study visits (1 fMRI scan and 1 EEG)
Eligibility Criteria
- Are a women between 12 to 40 years of age
- Previously met criteria for anorexia nervosa
- Not taking medication for anorexia nervosa, or taking the same medication and dose for at least 4 weeks
