CAMH Practical Strategies for Daily Living with Schizophrenia: CAT for Families

Hosted in partnership with the Client and Family Relations team at The Royal. Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT) is a
practical, evidence-based approach for families and caregivers of adults living with schizophrenia. In this
interactive workshop you will gain strategies and tools to help your loved one build independence in taking care of
themselves, their spaces, and participating in their communities.

Interactive Virtual Reality Workshop: How to Respond to an Opioid Overdose
Tuesday, April 20th

Knowing how to respond to an opioid overdose and administer naloxone can save lives. Join this interactive opioid overdose simulation workshop, using virtual reality headsets. The training walks participants through each step, including how to support the person after they wake up.
Canadian Adult Education Credential with United for Literacy

Journaling Workshop for Mental Health Service-Users and Caregivers

A Guide to the NEW Canadian Disability Benefit with Service Canada

Presented by Imran (he/him), Citizen Service Specialist from Service Canada, this accessible, plain-language presentation will walk you through the new Canadian Disability Benefit. You'll learn about the application process, how to qualify, how much you could receive, and information about how to manage your payments.
Art Workshop with Taryn Lee

In this 2 hour art workshop, you’ll learn how to create flowers using a material typically reserved for brewing coffee! You’ll assemble all your flowers into a bouquet you can take home with you (or gift someone to brighten their day). This is a tactile art workshop that encourages play, exploration and an openness to trusting the process.

Kamaamwizme wii Naagidiwendiiying – “Coming together to (heal or look after or to take care of) each other,” the Indigenous-led Crisis Response Pilot is led by 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations in partnership with ENAGB and PQWCHC. This crisis response team responds to mental health related crisis and wellness checks for individuals across Toronto. Join this online session to learn more about the city-wide expansion of TCCS and 2-Spirited People of the 1st Nations.
Mindfulness for All

Adapted from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, this 8 week program will be a chance to learn and practice adapted mindfulness tools in an inclusive and neurodiversity- affirming setting that is open to beginners and experienced meditators alike.
